Is free today :) so try out to make the Halim Gandom, I knew this foods through my partner and I really fall in love on this food, it really beneficial to our body if we don't use that much sugar as traditional recipe needed or instead with honey is even better. I soak the wheat (Gandom) overnight.

Wheat (Gandom) |
Basically what you needs are:
1) Wheat (Gandom)
2) Meat (you can use chicken, traditional is using lamb or beef)
3) Onion
4) Vegie (Optional)
5) Spices (Important -- Cinnamon)
6) Milk
It is the basic ingredient that my partner told me, and the real way of making Halim, honestly speaking, I've never see. So, it's My Own Halim Recipe ;)
Soaking the wheat is to soften it so that you save more cooking time. Wash it before you cook it and make sure don't over wash it otherwise it will stick together :) Practice make perfect.
The first step is to boil the wheat with the spices you like, add on the salt and sugar (optional), onion as well. You don't have to chop the onion, just simply cut it (it gonna go into food blender). While the wheat is boiling, prepare your meat (chicken/ beef/ lamb).

Chicken Breast (skinless) |
I use a big size chicken breast and fry with one tablespoon of Grapeseed Oil. I add on the spices and salt (optional) as well before adding a cup of water. Remember to stir your wheat always so it can cook evenly ;) Try the wheat, and make sure is not hard, so that you can put into food mixture to blend it. To me, I tear half of the chicken breast and mix it with wheat and blend together to get the the nicer texture, and it will look like this ..... (as below)

Blend the wheat & chicken together |

After blended |
The original color is white, and is due to I added in the tumeric and it looks this color ;) After you blend it, pour it into the pot and mix with another half of chicken flake and add a cup of milk and boil it for another 25-30 minutes.

One cup of milk |
Believe me, it might takes some time to make this food, but the final result is Awesome. My Halim Recipe is different with the Halim Gandom I ate due to the spices I am using, but its really healthy and easy to make. And the final result looks like:
